Hound High - Consolidating Skills

This class builds on the foundation established in Pooch Primary and builds as you progress to Canine College.  

Class is conducted on lead.

Completion is determined on attendance of at least 75% of classes and a demonstrated understanding of the skills introduced.

Skills and knowledge include:

  • Loose leash walking
  • Sit/stay - moving around dog
  • Down/stay - moving around dog
  • Sit/stay - adding distance
  • Down/stay - adding distance
  • Recall from short distance
  • Free recall
  • Stand cue
  • Sit for handling
  • Stand for handling
  • Introduction to clicker training
  • Ring a bell
  • Back cue
  • Target stick
